Why does the save button sometimes grey out even when I've just made an edit?

Question
Why does the save button sometimes grey out even when I've just made an edit?
Answer
If a value that has previously been entered in a cell is entered again, even after various other values have been entered intermittently, the save button may become disabled. A workaround is to make another edit elsewhere to enable save.
