Question
How much data can be stored in the digital pen's built-in memory?
Answer
The answer varies greatly depending on the density of your writing, the application you are using, paper size, and the nature of your data collection, as the number of pages that can be downloaded is dependent on many factors. How much you write on each page would be the most important consideration, as the memory capacity of the digital pen fluctuates when measuring by marks and words. The digital pen can hold up to 1MB of data, if you were using Capturx for OneNote you could write approximately 40 letter sized pages front and back in small dense script. This example doesn't apply to ArcGIS or PDF, as redlining and markups are obviously far less dense than traditional note taking. If you were using Capturx Forms for Excel and marking a few fields on the form you may be able to write on hundreds of pages. We recommend you transfer data to your PC before the memory in your digital pen becomes full, the digital pen vibrates to warn you when the memory is full. If the memory is full, you cannot store new data in the digital pen.
