iPads have built-in security through device passcodes and 256-bit AES hardware encryption. All files are automatically encrypted at rest on an iPad. To add security, it is common for companies to use a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution. With an MDM solution, lost or stolen iPads can be wiped remotely. For example, a company can set a policy for a local wipe after a certain number of failed passcode attempts. Remote wipes can also be configured using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync or a Mac OS X Lion server. Please verify the settings of the computer’s clock and dock the digital pen using Capturx Pen Manager and the docking cradle provided by Adapx. Once the pen has been docked at least once, you can start using it with your BlackBerry to upload or email digital ink.

If you use Capturx Forms Service (hosted by Adapx), you have access to the most recent version in the “Capturx Resource Center”. If you use a Capturx desktop application or on-premise Capturx server solution, and have Capturx Pen Manager 3.4 (or later), click on the arrow next to the Version number in the bottom right corner. Once you click on “Updates”, and then “Check for Updates”, you will see if an update is available.

Answer: On a Web page, you can only see 100 uploaded forms on the screen at one time. Based on the defined list view, it’s possible that your form isn’t within the first 100 forms displayed. Look at the top right section of the Web page to see if there is an option to view additional forms. Click the arrow next to “1 -100” to see the next 100 forms.

If you choose the "Required" GPS setting on the General Configuration screen, Capturx Mobile will not send the pen data until it can include GPS information acquired by your BlackBerry. It may take several attempts for the BlackBerry to acquire GPS information. GPS acquisition times vary per device model and network carrier, so they can take longer than you expect. If you require GPS information, we recommend that you work with your IT team to select the best BlackBerry device and carrier for quickly acquiring GPS information.

When you first try to send pen data from a digital pen to a BlackBerry, you will see an ink acceptance verification dialog. . If you select "No" without selecting the "Don't ask me again" option, you will be asked again the next time you try to send pen data. Select “Yes” and you will be able to use Capturx Mobile. If you select "No" with the "Don't ask me again" option, the digital pen will not be able to send the pen data and you will not have a way to change your response to “Yes”. You will need to re-install the Capturx Mobile application in order to use the digital pen with the BlackBerry device.
